Hello! I'm Lamont Hillier and I'm the guitarist for Cosmic.
I have been playing guitar for about 27 years. The first 4 of those, I tried to become Angus Young.
These last 23 years have been spent trying to turn myself into Robben Ford and, ocasionally, Larry Carlton.
I never really could get my one good hand to behave in order to make a living playing and become a huge
star. I did come close to being signed but the record company did not dig the band's crab costumes.
It's a shame, too, because they loved the music! I would not compromise for I believe that one must be true to
their heart on things like this.
Believe it or not, 99% of my musical endeavors over the years have involved Cathy and Christine (of this
band). Be it original music or cover music, they have always been the ones taking care of all of the
vocal duties. I think it's a matter of fact: they are the best two singers in the area.
As for this band Cosmic, well, what can I say except that it is a blast to
play in!!!! We always have a great time and we all love playing. We pretty much play what we enjoy and
I think it shows. Everybody in the band is fantastic!!!!
As for my my philosophy on stuff . . . well, I believe the world goes 'round in circles and that Ding Dongs are very tasty.
Lastly, here is a bit about the gear I use (in case anyone cares - probably not!): I enjoy First Act guitars, amps, straps, cables, pedals, etc.....The list goes on and on!
That's about it but I hope you enjoy perusing our website and that you'll come out to see us sometime when Cosmic plays in the area!!!!
